The last couple of months have been a hectic so I haven't had much time to knit or post. Thankfully one big distraction is now gone. I got married last February then we put my husband's house on the market last May. We got an offer in late September and closed on it October 31st! It's so nice be a one house family now.
I started Vodka Gimlet almost exactly a year ago and finally finished it this weekend! It's a tad big and the bottom bands draw in some but I haven't blocked it yet so maybe that will help.
A friend of mine had a baby girl last month so I've started a baby quilt for her. This is the pattern I will be using:
with this fabric:
It's fun to see measurable progress on my projects list, even though I added another quilt project! I've finished 2 sweaters and am down to only 3 projects on needles.
your sweater looks really good :)
ReplyDeleteLovely sweater. Blocking always does wonders :)
ReplyDeleteCute quilt. I hope you'll post pictures once you're done. Do you do the quilting yourself? I've made a handful of quilts but I usually send the quilt faces out to be done by someone with a longarm machine.
Also congrats on closing the house deal. Things in the US housing market are pretty uncertain these days, aren't they?
yes, congrats on selling the house...most people selling in this environment have to take a loss or break even...Glad you guys survived, it is a very stressful process..
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!
Have you blocked the sweater at all..it looks it..? It looks great even with the wave..
I am not a quilter but love that pattern....I had a similar one gifted to me.
Well first of all, congrats on the house sale. Second, the sweater looks lovely. It will be cool to see it after you block it. Will the sweater have a closure?
ReplyDeleteWoot woot, congrats on the selling the house. The sweater looks awesome. I think when you block it, it will look the way you want
