My Life in Pictures - Week 16

Two of our undergraduates presented posters about their research projects. So proud of both of them!

Walking with my husband on the trail through our neighborhood on a beautiful spring weekend.

New yarn in spring colors! Mad Tosh DK in Winter Wheat and Malabrigo Arroyo in Indiecita.

Surprise roses from my husband - just because.

My Life in Pictures - Week 15

Warning picture heavy post! My husband I spent a weekend at a local B&B. It was wonderful! The inn was previously a home for single, elderly women and the new owners kept the feel of the home.

We spent a lot of time hanging out after breakfast in this beautiful sun room.

Parlor

Hallway in the original section

Hallway in the newer section.

Most of the guest rooms were previously two dorm rooms, so our room had this short hallway between the sitting area and the bedroom.

Even though the second door was walled off, they kept the original transom above the second door.

Afternoon tea delivered to our room!

Yummy nachos one evening!

We walked around Duke Gardens one afternoon.

We also stopped in at a local yarn store and of course I bought some yarn! Malabrigo Rios - Illusion. The colors in it will remind me of our room (purple) and the sunroom (green/brown).

We also walked on the trail around Duke's East Campus

My Life in Pictures - Week 14

Grey morning at the gym before work.

I joined the Instant Pot craze and I love it!

Winding new yarn.

My Life in Pictures - Week 13

Life got busy so I have some catching up to do!

I bought a Tulip Cardigan kit for my niece but decided to make her a poncho instead.

I had to drive under this mobile crane thing to get into my parking deck which was a bit freaky.

Beautiful dogwood tree in front of my building at work. Spring is finally here!

Yarn and coffee from my favorite coffee shop in Duck, NC arrived on the same day! Clearly cream, pink and brown is one of my favorite color combos.

Currently {April}

Reading:  In anticipation of the new Jacqueline Winspear book, I've been rereading the series. I've also been reading an author my mom likes: Cynthia Harrod-Eagles. Her books are quick fun reads.

Watching: Carolina basketball!  Incredibly they are playing in the National Championship game tomorrow night. Win or lose it's been a great ride!

Knitting: Two projects are off the needles and one is close so here is what I am planning to knit next:

MadTosh Dk to make the striped shawl Edison using pink clay, fragrant, and log cabin brown

MadTosh sport Lowlands for a Moab Shawl

And finally Dissent in Malabrigo Arroyo in Regatta Blue and Natural

Anticipating: a belated anniversary celebration this weekend at a local B&B

It's close to these gardens which should be beautiful!
